Frequently Asked Questions
Is Chefry really free?
Yes. Listing is free: unlimited menu items, your booking calendar, analytics, notifications, your bio link and reviews, with no monthly fee. Pro and Committed are optional paid plans that lower your commission on service bookings; you never need them to sell.
How does Chefry make money?
For plate & menu item orders, a 5% service fee is added to the customer’s checkout total, you keep 100% of the sale price. For service bookings (private chef, catering, etc.) we take 15% from provider payouts. The 275 founding chefs enrolled before the Founding Chef Program closed pay 0% on everything, for life.
How do your fees compare to other plate-selling apps?
Our plate & menu item fees match the best plate-selling apps (0% to you, 5% customer fee, standard Stripe processing). But Chefry also gives you booking management, private chef services, catering, analytics, notifications, and more, all for free.
What if I cancel?
The free plan has nothing to cancel. Pro and Committed can be cancelled anytime from your dashboard; your profile, menu and reviews stay exactly as they are, and you move back to the standard rate.
What about the Founding Chef Program?
It is closed. The first 275 providers to join Chefry locked in 0% commission on ALL order types for life, including service bookings that normally carry a 15% fee, and that deal never expires. Every chef still pays 0% commission on menu orders.
